RHS TATTON PARK, VISIONARY GARDEN
An RHS Silver Flora medal winning garden 'Time' explores the passage and cyclical nature of time.
An oak sapling grows into an oak tree, the oak tree falls and rots into the ground, feeding the sapling.
In this installation, the fallen oak tree is shaped into oak 'waves' directly representing the flow of time . During the show the oak sculptures themselves begin to decompose, as the wood reverts to the soil from where the sapling came.
