RHS TATTON PARK

The space between

An RHS Silver Flora medal winning garden, The Space Between asks what is the intangible place between stillness and movement; the moment between thinking of moving and moving?

A contemplative installation, Barley flickers across oak boxes. I chose oak for its inferred strength and resilience in contrast to the ephemeral barley.

The boxes had different finishes rough sawn, polished and a reflective pool. Populous tremula (Aspen) , soared above the garden, their flickering leaves casting shadows on the square surfaces taking on a different quality upon each.
