A VILLAGE GARDEN
I worked with my clients to create front and back gardens .
Our aim was to create a garden which, was comfortable for entertaining and relaxing and a wild garden full of wildlife and loose flowers to enchant children. A reflective pool with beautiful copper spillway brings the sky into the garden.
The distinct changes of level have been expressed with beautiful curving stone walls which sweep around the garden and through the risers of the smart sawn stone steps. The lower level of the garden is finished with the subtle softness of self bound gravel, the steps all finished in exquisite sawn York stone with a cut stone riser matching the walls.
The garden embraces seasonality with the planting changing, developing and augmenting through from spring to autumn. In winter the structure of the garden, the evergreen plants and skeletons of the expressive multistem trees come to the fore.
